1. Introduction
This policy explains what information the Tattva app ("we", "our") handles, where it goes and what control you have over it. Tattva has no accounts and no sign-in.
2. Information that stays on your phone
Everything you enter in Tattva is stored only on your device: birth details for Kundli and Gun Milan, names for numerology, your city, saved verses and Kathas, japa counts, sadhana history, reminders and settings. We do not upload it and we cannot see it. Reminders are scheduled on your phone.
3. Location
If you choose to detect your city automatically, the app asks for approximate location once, finds the nearest city in a list stored inside the app, and keeps only that city. Your coordinates are not sent to us or to anyone else. You can always pick a city by hand instead.
On iPhone, you can change this at any time in Settings → Tattva → Location.
4. Information collected by services we use
- Google AdMob shows ads. It may use your device's advertising ID, device model, OS version and ad interactions to serve and measure ads. In the EEA and UK, you are asked for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform.
- On iPhone, Tattva asks your permission before it uses your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are still shown but are not personalised using that identifier.
- Firebase Analytics (Google) receives anonymous usage events, such as which screens are opened, which Katha or puja is started, and your app language and theme. It never receives your birth details, names or japa history.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives crash reports: device model, OS version, app version and the technical details of the crash.
- Firebase App Check (Google) checks that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.
- Cloudflare delivers Kathas, wallpapers, audio, images and rashifal. Like any web server, it sees your IP address when content is downloaded.
These services handle data under Google's Privacy Policy and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
5. How we use this information
- To calculate the Panchang, Kundli and muhurat on your device
- To show festival and daily reminders you have turned on
- To show ads, which keep the app free
- To understand which features are used, and to find and fix crashes
6. Data retention
We keep no personal data on our own servers. Data on your phone stays until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Google and Cloudflare keep the data described in section 4 according to their own policies.
7. Your choices
On Android
- Clear everything Tattva has stored: Settings → Apps → Tattva → Storage → Clear data.
- Reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device's Google settings.
- Turn off notifications or location in Settings → Apps → Tattva → Permissions.
On iPhone
- Remove everything Tattva has stored: delete the app (press and hold the Tattva icon → Remove App → Delete App).
- Allow or stop ad tracking: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Tattva.
- Turn off notifications or location: Settings → Tattva.

8. Children's privacy
Tattva is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
